WELL, THAT SURE IS A THING. he's come in all geared up to start ranting as usual, but he actually loses some of his rage wind as soon as he sees what Gundam's doing.]

If they decide that the lesson is that they need to keep murdering to protect the designated killers who have to kill anyway but who cares, someone's life is totally worth staying in this shitty castle for another week while the incentives just get worse and the producers sip margaritas because everything is going to plan, then I'm just going to toss everyone off the tower myself.

So, are they to cast off their lives, sitting and waiting in hopes others will make the needed sacrifice? No, she was wrong, but they cannot know the structure of this game.

Though...it should not have been Spain [Well actually no he even thinks her reasoning was okay there] to do nothing, to simply wait on false hope, is to abandon living itself. If you despise that, you despise me, as well. And now they will never again content to simply wait and pray for a week without kill, nor should they. Their plans must change.

They simply need direction, to understand the weaknesses to exploit.

It wouldn't have been false hope if the designated killers made the decision not to act! But it has to be their choice. All Austria did was be arrogant enough to think she could somehow make it for them or prevent them from killing.

I'm with you on the fact that their plan to hope for the best wouldn't have worked at all, but hers wasn't exactly any better. And let me tell you, this week would have been one of the best chances they had to end it. With the incentive for next week...all I can say is that there's no way we're going home early on this one.

[So because Stiles is a total sap for his friends, he's messed with the cameras so that it runs a loop of Kaoru sleeping for the next half hour. Then he'll use his HOST MAGIC to enter Kaoru's room without setting off the traps...before tripping over a chair in the dark and cursing. Good job Stiles, clearly you would have made an A+ murderer.]

also he's not sleeping really, anyway, so he doesn't sound startled at all when he calls out into the dark:] Don't hurt yourself.

god, though... you know it's bad when Kaoru doesn't even do the "I'VE BECOME A BOARD" thing when faced with a Stiles Friendship Hug That Goes Beyond No-Homo Territory. instead, he's just quiet for a few seconds, because there really isn't anything he can say. things started to get rough and they're just getting worse, and he isn't exactly the most well-equipped person to deal with it. so after a little more hesitation HERE IT COMES... THE MOST AWKWARD RETURN HUG EVER...... complete with awkwardly held arms that move in a "where do hugs go" way.

but he really could use this, so he's not gonna turn it down.]

[BABY STEPS. but he's getting there... it's a slow, steady race, even if he hits pitfalls and takes a few steps back sometimes. he's actually self-aware enough now to realize that CC might be gearing up to be one giant step back for him, but he doesn't really have it in him to care just yet.]

[BE HIS LIFE-RAFT STILES... as they just chat while still locked in a super homo hug... his shoulders slope a little as soon as he hears that, though, and Stiles may hear a muffled "thank you" - it's both for caring, and for telling him that Chizuru had chosen this. it does make him feel a little better, since he had been scared that she was betrayed with the 'no volunteers' clause.]

But yeah, this is their plan. If I'm right...Kuzuryuu's going to purposefully get himself executed so Nanami can retire. It's going to fuck up the game pretty bad - no designated killers left and no way to end the game by holding a mastermind trial. Next week is going to be the best chance they have to end it all. [and if they don't, if they still play along with the game even after all this...then Stiles would honestly not feel that bad giving up and bailing out with Kaoru and Gundam in tow. there's only so much the three of them can do, after all.]

Mm. [at least Stiles can understand where he's coming from with the whole eternal butthurt thing... they can hold the fort together.

but Kaoru will finally ease away from the Friendship Hug after a few more seconds of silence, taking a deep breath in.]

...Right. He won't be able to lead us to him though in accordance to the rules, right? So we'll just have to make sure that he meets his end, or all of this... everything will be for nothing. The designated killers will die, the mastermind will be retired, and then we can get in our no-kill week.

[A nod.] He can't make it obvious, but for his plan to work, he has to be caught. So it shouldn't be that hard pinning him down for it. Convincing Nanami to retire will probably be more difficult, since she can't disobey the producers, but I've...hopefully been able to help a little there.

Then I'll pin him down. [he's going to make a very concerted effort to control himself this trial, but Kuzuryuu may just get to leave the game feeling very assured in his choice to put Kaoru down for most dangerous player.]
