[His eyes are closed. There's a great deal of blood on his clothes so it's difficult to tell from afar what happened, but if Yuyuko examines him up close, she'll find that he seems to have been stabbed multiple times through the chest.]

[Feferi looks around the immediate area, though she doesn't stray far. Any sign of footprints given all the blood, or maybe a murder weapon?]

He can't have been dead for that long.

[There aren't any footprints or weapons in the immediate vicinity.]

[It looks like there are plenty of people looking at the body right now... Feferi stands up.] You guys keep searching around here. I'll go let everyone else know!

[And she's off.]

[Are they sword stab wounds? He said his sword was missing...]

[Without a blade to compare it to, it's difficult to tell what made the wounds.]

[What if she uses her fingers to try to compare to the size of the wounds... You know, without actually touching it]

[ She takes a deep breath, rolls her sleeves up, and reluctantly examines him closer up. She wasn't any stranger to violence, but seeing the aftermath of such a brutal killing, she just-- it wasn't something she was used to. She saw the spirits after they died. After they'd been brutalized.

Even though her hands are far too bloody for her liking, she keeps looking. What kind of wounds are they? Clean? Jagged? Made by an ordinary knife, or a sword perhaps? Living with a family of swordsmen for years and years had its benefits, at least in the regard of identifying sword wounds.

It was awful to be so up close to. But she was the princess of the dead, after all. If she could spare someone from having to examine a bloody corpse up close, she would. She didn't know this kid--what was his name? Kou-something?--and so she felt a bit more detached than she probably should have, but. It needed to be done. There wasn't any time to fool around or grieve. Someone had already died. No one was fucking around. Maybe Ryou was right. Maybe she shouldn't have been so optimistic. ]

[Maya's certainly not touching the body, but she's staring right at the wounds as Yuyuko works, biting her lip]

I can't believe it....

[She brings up one hand to cover her mouth and kneels down so she can take Kouha's hand with the other - turning it a little so she can check under the nails for chipping and check under them for blood, then looking at the skin for bruises, and then checking to see if there's anything on his clothing (besides the blood) that looks out of place. Hair that doesn't look like his, for example...]

[Pats Chizuru's head lightly while she does that!]

[But otherwise alternates between staring at what she's doing and... staring around the room]

[So helpful]

This is... [She looks really upset, and she shakes her head.] I'm so sorry. I'm going to have to leave this to you.

[And she's bailing before she throws up!]

D-Don't push yourself...

[But wow, you go do that, Chizuru. Maya's not touching it, so she'll stay for another minute to try to get clues and... then start bothering other people]

[No chipping or blood or bruises. His clothes are torn where he was stabbed, but otherwise, there doesn't seem to be anything unusual about them.]

[Slowly, she lowers Kouha's hand. Chizuru looks like she might be sick - she's definitely a little pale as she gets to her feet and backs away from him.]

...I'm... I'm sorry. [There are others looking - she can't keep up with this, her stomach is churning. After a moment to exchange words with Maya, she turns and flees the scene.]

Fey-san, you...may want to step back. [ at least attempting to cover up Maya's view of Kouha's body with her own body. gdi you seem young and innocent, don't look!! ]

D-Don't worry about me! [Determined face goes on!] We need to find clues!

[ Sighs heavily. ] Are you quite sure you want to examine such a disturbing scene?

[All the stab wounds are grouped together in one area, a little underneath the sternum where the bone ends and the stomach begins. It looks like someone plunged the blade multiple times in the same area, making it difficult to determine precisely what kind of blade caused it. However, the wounds do seem wider than what the dagger that was provided to all the contestants would make.]

It looks a bit larger than your standard dagger... [ muttering ] But other than that, I can't tell what kind of blade was used, unfortunately. And I'm rather well-versed on sword wounds. If anyone else cares to take a gander...?

[there are folks examining the body, and apollo is grateful for that, but he starts scanning the area--looking for any signs of a struggle, misplaced furniture, or if the body was moved somehow]

(Damn it, I can't believe someone would actually go through with it--! But he wouldn't have just sat there and let himself be killed, would he?)

[No signs of a struggle. However, if Apollo examines the floor nearby the entrance to the Dragon Wing closely, he'll find a few drops of blood.]

[he goes over to get a better look at that, noting the area, and double checking to see if there is anything they might have missed. Also, if there's anything especially unique about the blood droplets (on the door, leading under it, etc). Otherwise, he files that away]

(I guess we're gonna have to do quite a thorough investigation.)

[There doesn't seem to be anything unusual about that area other than the blood droplets.]

[awwwright, returning to the others and the body, then. Once they've examined it, Apollo takes a breath and. . .checks his pockets, if he has any. Specifically, looking for Ren's key to the Unicorn Wing]
