[ Sebastian laughs softly, but it's a humorless as he shakes his head. ]

I would worry about even one being "borrowed," considering our circumstances... But I will check. I spend quite a lot of time here cooking, so I am quite familiar with how the kitchen is stocked.

[ And with a fussy perfectionist's memory, to boot. So Sebastian will go check out the knives to see how many are gone. ]

[ He looks fairly surprised, but nods. ] Sure. That's pretty helpful. I guess we should start taking note of that stuff. Writing it down somewhere?

[ And Sebastian will start looking through all the knives! But he'll respond as he does so. ]

It would be wise, but we would also have to make safeguards to prevent... tampering, as much as I hate to say so. If a potential murderer is in possession of the list, then it is easy to change the records. Multiple copies would be a possible solution, but—

[ He pauses as he looks over the knife block, noticing one is missing, but this is the one that Peko had noted. At this point he takes the counting more seriously and drops the conversation in favor of finishing his inventory of the knives. He turns back to look at Ian. ]

Two are missing, I am quite certain, since I cleaned all the knives myself before I used the kitchen as a part of taking stock.
