graveyard pt ii

You awaken in a darkened theatre.
In front of you is an enormous cinema screen. On it plays everything that's currently happening in the castle, accompanied by appropriate sound effects and background instrumentals when fitting. The seat you're sitting on is large and plush, and while there's many of them, there's enough room in the theatre for you to fully recline the seat into a comfortable bed if you wish. Under each seat is a sleeping mask and noise-cancelling headphones, in case you'd like to take a break from watching the show.
Follow the stairs up and you'll reach what should be the projection room. There are no projectors in here, however; it is simply a large and well-lit room above the main seating area, and a good place to hang out with your fellow eliminated contestants if shouting at each other across the aisles proves too much to handle.
If you leave the theatre through the door in the back, you'll find yourself in a hall. On one end is a concession stand. It's stocked with standard movie snacks - popcorn, candy and the like - but if you're feeling the urge for something else, you'll be able to find it stocked somewhere in the back. On the other end is a table with thirty wrapped bags and a placard reading 'A star for our stars! Please accept these lovely giftbags as a token of appreciation for your hard work, sponsored by [illegible smudge]'. Each bag has a tag bearing the name of someone in the mansion; you will only be able to open the bag with your name on it. As soon as you open it, any memories that have been taken from you, including those of the other people in the mansion that you may have forgotten, will be returned in their entirety. Within the bag are also objects from your home that you may want for your stay here, though you will find no weapons.
Past the hall is another door, this one wooden and seemingly decayed. If you go inside, you'll find a fairly simple, wooden room, that is empty except for a very large machine. It is difficult to tell what the machine is for; it has a touch screen that appears to be a control panel, as well as a large open space that seems to be part of the machine, but the machine is dead and won't turn on no matter what you do.
Still, at least you aren't alone here. You have your fellow players, as well as a few guests to keep you company.
Oh, and one more thing. At midnight following each execution, once all those who've died that week have woken up, a video will begin to play on screen.

You can prepare what you're going to say to Kaoru when the two of you awkwardly reunite with all of your memories. Less than 500 words, please; we've only allotted fifteen minutes for drama in our schedule.
no subject
Or I could wait to be awkward around Kaoru until we've all made it out safely...
[Like that's really going to happen.]
no subject
And besides, we wouldn't be able to stand ten feet away and eavesdrop if you did that.
no subject
[Susan has successfully flustered Chizuru! ...which isn't really a difficult feat in and of itself.]
But - I'm being serious... I want to help make sure we make it out of here safe and sound, so please, if there's anything I can do...
no subject
No. You've all done well - surprisingly well, there at the end. We wouldn't have been able to get even half this far without your group; you've already accomplished a great deal.
[A pause.]
You can hit Stiles for me if you'd like.
no subject
[She blinks a few times.]
...hit him? [uhhh] Because he ended up getting sent here by the producers...?
no subject
He's incredibly lucky our plans were in motion already. Our last murdered Host never even made it into the graveyard.
no subject
[Last... murdered host...]
That's awful... was it one of your friends, or...?
no subject
She's modeled after our season's Hostess, a woman named Doris. She tried to help us, but Felicia caught wind and murdered her. I believe they edited the clips of the trial that week to make it appear as if I had been the victim. That's what was played to the living guests earlier.
no subject
[She's just going to slooooowly glance in Felicia's direction and shoot her a glare. There hasn't been any doubt in her mind for a while now that their one-week hostess wasn't to be trusted, but if there had been, it would definitely be gone.]
I - I see... then, I'm very glad that this time turned out better. I hope that wherever Doris-san is now, she can rest in peace.

[Susan will just leave out the part where Felicia actually did show them the resurrection machine because Felicia is still a butt and probably knew all along that it would just get them recaptured.]
There were a few unresolvable tragedies in our iteration of the game, unfortunately. Which is rather why we decided to take matters into our own hands.
no subject
I was about ready to hit her the first night I met her.
[WHICH IS SAYING A LOT...]
It's true what they say, then - you learn from the past so you don't repeat those mistakes in the future... I'm glad you've decided to use your own hands to set things right, and I'm glad we've been able to help.
no subject
[A slight pause.]
Could I ask you a personal question, actually?
no subject
[She's inwardly sort of bracing herself for a question along the lines of what Kouha is convinced of... so anything less than that, she can handle!]
no subject
Did you and the troll girl let him win?
[hi small beef]
I would have placed money on either of you.
no subject
Um... yes. We did.
[sorry Kazoo]
It became clear that he must have had a reason for doing what he did. Some kind of plan... and while Feferi-san and I could have overpowered him, we wouldn't have known the next steps of his plan, so the outcome of that fight... it had to be the way it was.
no subject
It's incredible that you actually trusted each other enough to allow yourselves to be murdered.
no subject
[She smiles, but that smile falters after a moment and she looks down at her hands.]
...and I'm a coward. I didn't want to have to take someone else's life - so I was glad to give up my own if it meant that the others would be living, and that the hostages would be safe...
no subject
I don't know if I'd call it cowardice - only you know your true motivations, but simply because it was the easy way out doesn't mean it was wrong. Without that gambit, I don't know how you'd have gone a week without a murder.
I rather think Kaoru will be annoyed if you ever do something like it again, though. There aren't resurrection machines lying around normally.
no subject
...Susan bringing up Kaoru makes her smile a little sheepishly, though.]
I don't intend to do it again. [Ignoring the fact that she was volunteering to be revived with a backup in Spain's place...] That's - one thing I feel really badly about... that in going along with Kuzuryuu-san's plan, I broke my promise to him.
no subject
I think it's rather more important to live for yourself, rather than because of any promises you made anyone.
no subject
...you're right, um -
[...she never did ask her name, did she...]
...I'm sorry... I don't actually know who you are.
no subject
I'm afraid I know all sorts of things about you already, so I'll apologize in advance if it makes you uncomfortable.
