the theatre



You awaken in a darkened theatre.

In front of you is an enormous cinema screen. On it plays everything that's currently happening in the castle, accompanied by appropriate sound effects and background instrumentals when fitting. The seat you're sitting on is large and plush, and while there's many of them, there's enough room in the theatre for you to fully recline the seat into a comfortable bed if you wish. Under each seat is a sleeping mask and noise-cancelling headphones, in case you'd like to take a break from watching the show.

Follow the stairs up and you'll reach what should be the projection room. There are no projectors in here, however; it is simply a large and well-lit room above the main seating area, and a good place to hang out with your fellow eliminated contestants if shouting at each other across the aisles proves too much to handle.

If you leave the theatre through the door in the back, you'll find yourself in a hall. On one end is a concession stand. It's stocked with standard movie snacks - popcorn, candy and the like - but if you're feeling the urge for something else, you'll be able to find it stocked somewhere in the back. On the other end is a table with thirty wrapped bags and a placard reading 'A star for our stars! Please accept these lovely giftbags as a token of appreciation for your hard work, sponsored by [illegible smudge]'. Each bag has a tag bearing the name of someone in the mansion; you will only be able to open the bag with your name on it. As soon as you open it, any memories that have been taken from you, including those of the other people in the mansion that you may have forgotten, will be returned in their entirety. Within the bag are also objects from your home that you may want for your stay here, though you will find no weapons.

Past the hall is another door, this one wooden and seemingly decayed. If you go inside, you'll find a fairly simple, wooden room, that is empty except for a very large machine. It is difficult to tell what the machine is for; it has a touch screen that appears to be a control panel, as well as a large open space that seems to be part of the machine, but the machine is dead and won't turn on no matter what you do.

Still, at least you aren't alone here. You have your fellow players, as well as a few guests to keep you company.

Oh, and one more thing. At midnight following each execution, once all those who've died that week have woken up, a video will begin to play on screen.

[FFFFF. Rin just remembered what Kaoru was really like.]

[OH MY GOD RIN WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SAY IT SO LOUD. EVERYBODY HEARD.

Ryou is just blushing and looking flustered. Somehow he manages to find the words to weakly defend himself.]

...I'm not... S-seriously considering it, you guys...

[Wait what was that about Kaoru and his sister--] Kaoru-kun wasn't even on the top of my list.

[she said it that loud because your crush is cray cray. On top of what everyone else said which is also true, thanks guys.

Anyway, she's still crunching away at that popcorn, though her mouth is definitely feeling gross by now from the butter. She's licking her lips a bit.]

Okay, well, who's next? ♪

[looking absently between Kanaya and Kouha... she probably can't take another turn until she's done with this bucket, and it is a big bucket.]

[Ryou waits a bit, but since nobody volunteers...]

You can go, Rin-chan. I think you ate enough popcorn to prove yourself anyway.

[He even hands her a drink! How considerate.]

[roadroller]

Oh, cool thanks!

[she takes the drink and takes a long sip from the straw.]

Aaah.... anyway, I pick truth. ♪

[Ryou takes a sip of his own drink, but then puts it down with a sneaky smile. He's still feeling embarrassed from before... At least that awkward pause gave him some time to recover.]

Truth, huh... Well, then I think it's time for a little payback, heehee. Who do you have "the hots" for?

[roadroller]

Who do I? ... No one really. ♪

[He didn't word it like she did where it was all 'would and could' and 'under better circumstances', so he gets a boring answer. Even she looks bored, pouting a little bit.]

Ehh? No one, really? [Ryou looks surprised. He totally overlooked the wording and it looks like he still hasn't realized that was the problem.]

Yeah. I don't actually like anyone that way, but the question posed wasn't hypothetical, sooo.... ♪

W-wait... Is that it? I meant it like your question, you know! [Cut him some slack.]

[roadroller]

Oh, okay. Well, in that case, umm.... I think Athena from our season! Though... [glances around for Peko and decides to say this in a lower voice anyway] Fuyuhiko-kun is the most moe.

And from my previous one... maybe Annie if she wasn't with Kanaya? I'd say Poland and Lithuania too, but not for me, they're just the best together! ♪

[Rin admitted all that without even batting an eyelash, he envies her bravery... She didn't even make a fuse when he asked her to elaborate. That being said...]

Really? So Rin-chan likes girls...and Kuzuryuu-kun. Are Poland-san and Lithuania-san girls too?

[Someone's being nosy. It's not even Rin's turn anymore.]

No, they're guys! But Poland looks cute in a dress... [and so does Kuzuryuu honestly which is why he went from a 7 to a 10 in her book.]

But it's not that I only like girls or anything. It's just kinda slim pickings. ♪

O-oh... [He rubs the back of his head, smiling sheepishly.] Right...

[Slim pickings?! Well he's happy to have the spotlight off of him, actually... He gets enough of that at home, but still. That kind of stung.]

Um... [Moving on since why was he bothered anyway, he glances back at his pile of unpleasant food.] Truth.

Hmm... [sipping her drink while she thinks. With this many truths in a row, it's hard to think of more.]
