[Early this morning, several guests will be awoken before 6 AM by a loud alarm ringing in their room. Lying on their desk will be a telegram, signed The Producer, instructing them to go immediately to the billiards room.

Once they arrive at the billiards room, they will find the door in the back open. They will then be able to proceed into the smoking room, where others await.]

Still... I would have liked to believe that even in situations like this, I would be able to maintain my dignity. [...this is undignified?? APPARENTLY. at worst, Kaoru seems a little harried and very anxious. one hand rises, grasping onto the flower-shaped pendant of the necklace found the day before in a nervous gesture.]

It's not as if we're in front of people whose opinions we've come to value particularly highly, at least. [She says hypocritically... because if their positions were reversed she would care at least a tiny bit what Kaoru thinks of her.]

Even so, even if none of us know each other well, I had hoped to present my best face to everyone. If the circumstances were different I'm certain it would be lovely to make friends, but... [now they might have to kill each other?!]

I know what you mean. [Even if they're here because they're going to be made into a subgroup, for example, that doesn't mean they can't be attacked by the others...]
