Week 0

Who: Designated Killers and Mastermind
What: Assignments
When: Early Morning, Sunday

[Early this morning, several guests will be awoken before 6 AM by a loud alarm ringing in their room. Lying on their desk will be a telegram, signed The Producer, instructing them to go immediately to the billiards room.

Once they arrive at the billiards room, they will find the door in the back open. They will then be able to proceed into the smoking room, where others await.]

I don't see why you all couldn't provide alibis for each other, having them say you were somewhere when you weren't.

[Helpful producer advice?]
speakveryclearly: Kanaya looks down at a computer screen casting purple light on her intense face. (Serious)

Maybe, but there's quite a bit of risk in a proposition like that, sir - consider Susan's harping on her visibility in the courtyard through the ballroom's windows. One misplaced person could topple the entire house of cards, no?

I wouldn't suggest using that explanation every time, of course--but if someone not on the suspect list claimed that they met you in their room at that time, it's not as if anyone else would know.
speakveryclearly: Kanaya and Vriska are in schoolgirl uniforms. Vriska has a bandage on her neck and her hand on Kanaya's tie. (Schoolgirl)

That's a risk potentially worth taking when the competition is thinner [s h u d d e r] but with over two dozen witnesses running around I'd rather take the time to work out a better plan than that.

Then my suggestion would be to select times very few people would have alibis for. Either that or frame someone specifically.
speakveryclearly: Kanaya with her hand on her hip and a stark, cocentric, unforgiving aura. (Cold)

How effective would our framing job have to be to get someone listed as a suspect?
vytis: (and what is peace)

[personal profile] vytis 2013-09-29 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
If you want to frame someone, let me know. I'll make sure they show up on the list. Regarding the creation of false alibis, incidentally--if you do decide to attempt such a thing, be absolutely certain you won't get caught.

[His friendly face fades for the moment into a more severe and serious one.] None of you would like the consequences of this group being discovered, as I'm sure you're all aware. If you ever get caught, you'd better have a very good excuse.

As a magus, I can see Susan through her trick, if what's written on her card is correct. The real problem is we shouldn't rely on each other too much for an obvious pattern to become discernible. As Lithuania's pointed out, our advantage in numbers can be completely turned against us if anyone begins suspecting an allegiance among our numbers.
