the theatre



You awaken in a darkened theatre.

In front of you is an enormous cinema screen. On it plays everything that's currently happening in the castle, accompanied by appropriate sound effects and background instrumentals when fitting. The seat you're sitting on is large and plush, and while there's many of them, there's enough room in the theatre for you to fully recline the seat into a comfortable bed if you wish. Under each seat is a sleeping mask and noise-cancelling headphones, in case you'd like to take a break from watching the show.

Follow the stairs up and you'll reach what should be the projection room. There are no projectors in here, however; it is simply a large and well-lit room above the main seating area, and a good place to hang out with your fellow eliminated contestants if shouting at each other across the aisles proves too much to handle.

If you leave the theatre through the door in the back, you'll find yourself in a hall. On one end is a concession stand. It's stocked with standard movie snacks - popcorn, candy and the like - but if you're feeling the urge for something else, you'll be able to find it stocked somewhere in the back. On the other end is a table with thirty wrapped bags and a placard reading 'A star for our stars! Please accept these lovely giftbags as a token of appreciation for your hard work, sponsored by [illegible smudge]'. Each bag has a tag bearing the name of someone in the mansion; you will only be able to open the bag with your name on it. As soon as you open it, any memories that have been taken from you, including those of the other people in the mansion that you may have forgotten, will be returned in their entirety. Within the bag are also objects from your home that you may want for your stay here, though you will find no weapons.

Past the hall is another door, this one wooden and seemingly decayed. If you go inside, you'll find a fairly simple, wooden room, that is empty except for a very large machine. It is difficult to tell what the machine is for; it has a touch screen that appears to be a control panel, as well as a large open space that seems to be part of the machine, but the machine is dead and won't turn on no matter what you do.

Still, at least you aren't alone here. You have your fellow players, as well as a few guests to keep you company.

Oh, and one more thing. At midnight following each execution, once all those who've died that week have woken up, a video will begin to play on screen.

( Oh, well. You hug and cry that out, bro. He's surprised because this isn't the sort of reaction he expected (actually, he probably should have because what else should he have expected, really). There's a laugh and he'll pat Stiles on the back.

He's wearing his usual smile when Stiles, even when he smacks him on the head. He looks a little embarrassed but then again, he's also pretty shameless. )

I probably shouldn't have taken that cake, huh? ( Taking cakes from demons. Look at your life, Spain. I hope you're ready to confess everything when you go home, man. No comment on the wine though. He would have accepted it even if he was being cautious. He trusted Austria, okay.

But he'd really put Stiles through a lot, huh? And for that, he looks genuinely apologetic. ) Sorry.

["Are you okay?" isn't a question she should be asking here; the answer is obvious enough. The truth is she isn't really sure what to say - after a few moments of looking unsure, though, she finally makes up her mind and speaks up once he's had some time to catch his breath and get his bearings.]

Um - thank you... [For everything he's done for them.] Is there - is there anything I can do to help you right now...?

[Oh no, that's so sweet. Normally she would balk at something like that, but this feeling is awful. She feels so stupid and useless for dying.]

All of our friends. Klavier and Apollo and Maya and everyone. It's going to be okay.

[humanic]

Oh - oh thank god. [And he'll just grab that cloth and bury his face in it, breathing deeply. Is that even how you use it. Who cares.]

So no one actually killed anyone this week, right? They proved how rigged this game really is?

I ... I don't know... [Rin really doesn't know, since she wasn't really 'with' all of them. So she's not sure what words she can offer to ease the pain.]

... But, it's not over yet. Right? ♪

[she has no idea actually. She hopes it's right.]

That's right. They wrote a note saying I killed myself to make Mr. Nagumo the culprit because he's the True Mastermind, because they were mad at me for throwing a pajama party and running around in a cape. It was so stupid. You wouldn't believe it.

[This makes a lot of sense.]

And then everyone was really pissed, and they didn't vote, and the Host said their punishment was they can apologize for not voting to the producers' faces.

[humanic]

No, don't apologize. [He looks contrite immediately, rubbing his face - after the way Spain had died, he hardly wants to start making the guy feel bad again for something he couldn't even help.] I'm being a dick here, it's not like you knew what was going to happen. [Of course, if he knew that Spain would have volunteered to die if Austria had asked, he would be singing a much different tune.]

It's - it's really good to see you again, man. Properly, I mean.

[ladyofthehouse]

[Austria's just raising an eyebrow. What the hell.]

Herr Host.

[Or one of them anyway.]

[He seems to have calmed down a bit, giving her a rueful look.]

I haven't really done that much to be thanked about, but I'm okay. Y'know, for a dead person.

[Pause.] Wait, actually, there is something you could do to help. You should be super nice to Kaoru when we get out of here and meet up with them again. I'm uh...I'm not sure what kind of memories you got back, but whatever they are, he's totally not a shithead anymore. [...] Well, not as much, and the people he's shithead towards totally deserve it so it's cool.

Chizuru brings up a hand to hide how widely she's smiling - and to stifle a giggle at "he's totally not a shithead anymore". How is anyone supposed to take a phrase like that seriously?]

Kaoru was able to meet people like you, who have been able to truly be there for him... I'm so glad.

Oh god, it's you. [HI...AUSTRIA....]

[And then her smile softens a bit, and she pulls her hand back down.]

Oh good, we seem to have a mutual resentment of one another.

Yeah, it turns out all he needed was a lot of hugs and some fluffy bunny therapy. And also a group of bad guys he could work out his rage on when the fluffy bunnies stopped working.

[He rubs his head awkwardly at that.] That's - that's good. That you feel that way, I mean. He remembered everything about you this whole game, you know? So...everything he said, it wasn't like it was because he didn't know who you were.

Yeah, because you're so good at pretending to be civil.

Seriously, if you resent me so much, you don't have to talk to me. Actually, I kind of prefer it if you don't.

[waves at her] Just call me Stiles, it's easier, Sai--Saiyo--can I just call you Yuyuko please?

[Kuzuryuu will just...wait until the s47's have had their uh...moment, before approaching. Stiles will probably notice that he has Nanami's Galaga hair clip clipped to his lapel now, instead of his family crest. In fact, that pin is nowhere to be seen.]

[OH NO TRUE GRATITUDE he can't deal with this!! He laughs a little awkwardly and waves a hand in the air.]

I should be the one thanking you. I wouldn't have been able to do anything if you hadn't come up with a way to break the game and get Chiaki out in the first place.

Mm. That... sounds about right.

[Fluffy bunnies and murder. Yup, definitely good for changing people for the better.]

I guess I'd be lying if I said that wasn't what I first thought, when I remembered everything. I even wondered if maybe... once he remembered, if it would be for the best if I stayed away from him. Because if he was better off when he didn't remember me, and... the way I remembered him when he did, that's... no good, right? He deserves better than that.

...but... he remembered me, and he said and did all those things anyway. We finally - we finally have a chance to be siblings again...

[She bows to him deeply.]

I'm so grateful to you and to everyone else who was there for him. Thank you for being the sort of people who could accept him.

But I am. ( Sorry, that is. And it isn't even so much for dying but just everything Stiles has had to go through. ) Everything is okay though! ( Dying, Austria, you know, everything associated with that week. )

Y'know, you look good in a suit! ( Let him just. Try to straighten you up some. He's playing around; it doesn't really matter how it looks but he has to prove he's okay some how. ) And without the mask, of course.
