Even though her hands are far too bloody for her liking, she keeps looking. What kind of wounds are they? Clean? Jagged? Made by an ordinary knife, or a sword perhaps? Living with a family of swordsmen for years and years had its benefits, at least in the regard of identifying sword wounds.
It was awful to be so up close to. But she was the princess of the dead, after all. If she could spare someone from having to examine a bloody corpse up close, she would. She didn't know this kid--what was his name? Kou-something?--and so she felt a bit more detached than she probably should have, but. It needed to be done. There wasn't any time to fool around or grieve. Someone had already died. No one was fucking around. Maybe Ryou was right. Maybe she shouldn't have been so optimistic. ]
