You awaken in a darkened theatre.

In front of you is an enormous cinema screen. On it plays everything that's currently happening in the mansion, accompanied by appropriate sound effects and background instrumentals when fitting. The seat you're sitting on is large and plush, and while there's many of them, there's enough room in the theatre for you to fully recline the seat into a comfortable bed if you wish. Under each seat is a sleeping mask and noise-cancelling headphones, in case you'd like to take a break from watching the show.

Follow the stairs up and you'll reach what should be the projection room. There are no projectors in here, however; it is simply a large and well-lit room above the main seating area, and a good place to hang out with your fellow eliminated contestants if shouting at each other across the aisles proves too much to handle.

If you leave the theatre through the door in the back, you'll find yourself in a hall. On one end is a concession stand. It's stocked with standard movie snacks - popcorn, candy and the like - but if you're feeling the urge for something else, you'll be able to find it stocked somewhere in the back. On the other end is a table with thirty wrapped bags and a placard reading 'A star for our stars! Please accept these lovely giftbags as a token of appreciation for your hard work, sponsored by [illegible smudge]'. Each bag has a tag bearing the name of someone in the mansion; you will only be able to open the bag with your name on it. As soon as you open it, any memories that have been taken from you, including those of the other people in the mansion that you may have forgotten, will be returned in their entirety. Within the bag are also objects from your home that you may want for your stay here, though you will find no weapons.

There are no other doors in the hall save for the one leading back into the theatre room. There are also no windows; it is impossible to tell where you are and what is going on in the outside world. Any attempts to break out will fail. So in the meantime, why not sit back and enjoy the show?

Oh, and one more thing. At midnight following each execution, once all those who've died that week have woken up, a video will begin to play on screen.

Well regardless of how it is done, hopefully. If they lose us high ratings because they can't babysit themselves, I do not believe that anyone here would be too happy for it.

I doubt it. They just probably didn't want to hang out with us. [Which is fine with him, because Belarus is a weirdo anyways.]

I think the Mastermind's just moving things into endgame for them.

[Oh were you being serious Kaoru-- Poland just wanted to break some of the tension. It's too early to worry.]

no okay he actually almost cracks a smile at that...] We shall see, surely. Even if they scapegoat another, the ratings should not drop too greatly. [sighs!] Let us hope such a thing doesn't happen, though. I am almost entirely certain that no one would wish to stay here longer than necessary.

[At least Poland is curious anyways.]

You think Doris will pay us a visit? [Poland looks around curiously.]

The why and the how ought to make sense if the person who killed Doris is who it seems to be. What I'm curious about is that card. [he nods toward the screen.] "Part of this game, perhaps more than even she knew." What does that mean?

—She was not a normal player, though; no bag was left for her.

That execution... It is strange... Though I know I endured it, it does not feel as long as it did when it was happening...

I cannot even begin to understand how these executions have worked. Bernkastel is who you ought to talk to for comparative purposes.

Well, with what you guys said about Gundam and the smoking room she probably never thought she'd be in any danger from us. She seemed kinda stressed out by her boss and what was happening to us by the end of it though.

Maybe they realized her heart wasn't in it anymore and got rid of her for being a liability.

That's probably a better way of phrasing it, but something like that.

Those kinds of emotional connections, you know? They could show a murder mystery with a different group of people each week but it wouldn't be the same... One of the big things that keeps people watching is probably making sure that their favourite players don't die.

A~h! But this is depressing, I don't want to talk about murder house stuff...

Um... Oh! What kinds of things are you planning on doing when you get back home?

[He's not going to say that it was okay and she didn't have to, he really did feel upset over the whole thing even if he didn't hold a grudge. Not that it would change anything but it couldn't hurt to listen]

Maybe they're getting tired of playing? Or it's some sort of sweeps.

Or maybe they've just hit critical point with the players.

How irritating, being reduced to a rank on an inane show. [and, not realizing that Touko had pretty much expressed the exact same sentiment weeks ago:]

Whatever their reason for running this show, that person had better be prepared to forfeit their life for the hassle.

That seems like such a pointless reason to be rid of her, though. Even if her heart wasn't in it, she was still acting on her orders...

Perhaps it really is little more than a push forward, and she just happened to be the best catalyst.

[Latvia gave a fretful look to Kaoru and then cast his gaze to the side. He'd heard them talking, about who was most likely the mastermind and while he didn't, couldn't believe it himself he couldn't shake the anxiety that there's a minuscule chance they might be right]

...Do you think that's worth it though? Will that really make up for everything that's happened?

[Poland flicks some popcorn at Latvia's forehead.]

Seriously? I spend weeks trying to not talk about depressing stuff and you wait till we're 'dead' to bring up something else? [More popcorn flicking.]

Mmm... probably enjoy using my own bathroom without four other girls hogging it. [Never mind the fact that Poland was the one notorious for taking the hour long showers.]

[Ugh catalyst deaths are the lamest.] Although I guess that with most of the designated killers dead and everyone focused on the mastermind, someone had to die to keep stuff interesting.

[He throws his spoon over in retaliation but quickly finds that he's out of ammunition]

I didn't think there was any kind of hope for anything back then! At least now I know I can go home!
