the theatre

You awaken in a darkened theatre.

In front of you is an enormous cinema screen. On it plays everything that's currently happening in the mansion, accompanied by appropriate sound effects and background instrumentals when fitting. The seat you're sitting on is large and plush, and while there's many of them, there's enough room in the theatre for you to fully recline the seat into a comfortable bed if you wish. Under each seat is a sleeping mask and noise-cancelling headphones, in case you'd like to take a break from watching the show.

Follow the stairs up and you'll reach what should be the projection room. There are no projectors in here, however; it is simply a large and well-lit room above the main seating area, and a good place to hang out with your fellow eliminated contestants if shouting at each other across the aisles proves too much to handle.

If you leave the theatre through the door in the back, you'll find yourself in a hall. On one end is a concession stand. It's stocked with standard movie snacks - popcorn, candy and the like - but if you're feeling the urge for something else, you'll be able to find it stocked somewhere in the back. On the other end is a table with thirty wrapped bags and a placard reading 'A star for our stars! Please accept these lovely giftbags as a token of appreciation for your hard work, sponsored by [illegible smudge]'. Each bag has a tag bearing the name of someone in the mansion; you will only be able to open the bag with your name on it. As soon as you open it, any memories that have been taken from you, including those of the other people in the mansion that you may have forgotten, will be returned in their entirety. Within the bag are also objects from your home that you may want for your stay here, though you will find no weapons.

There are no other doors in the hall save for the one leading back into the theatre room. There are also no windows; it is impossible to tell where you are and what is going on in the outside world. Any attempts to break out will fail. So in the meantime, why not sit back and enjoy the show?

Oh, and one more thing. At midnight following each execution, once all those who've died that week have woken up, a video will begin to play on screen.

[Latvia.]

You're not... a total embarrassment, chill out.

Besides you're not the only one that got all mentally warped thanks to the memory loss. So. Don't worry about it.
balzams: (Smile ● Alright)

[personal profile] balzams 2013-11-19 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
...Thanks.

[From Poland that actually means a lot]

Still, I mean it was on TV... I wish I could have done something cool.

It's strange, I know we're not human but sometimes I forget how human we actually are.

Also Marlow tried to get us to pick poison for Doris instead of the passages map.

If not poison, then she wanted me to pick the sword so I could run her through.
balzams: (Uneasy ● Concerned)

[personal profile] balzams 2013-11-19 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
For Doris...? Oh! You mean the hostess, right?

Honestly there were so many extra prizes being handed out in secret I don't know who has what.

Why was she getting you to pick those kinds of things?

[personal profile] notyetlost 2013-11-19 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
You were like. Slightly cool when we were executing Kanaya. With the soot or. Whatever.

I mean I was obviously way cooler for getting the trial to that part with my like total brilliance but, you helped. ish.

...pfft. You can like say that again.

[personal profile] notyetlost 2013-11-19 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. [He's been calling her Doris for so long it's just out of habit.]

Probably to make things more interesting. Can you imagine the blow out from someone either finding a sword or set of poisons in my room? While Marlow provides her cute little medical kit for everyone?

Or getting me sucked out of the game completely with a smoking room sentencing for actually attacking Doris?

[And given Poland's personality, do you have any idea how hard it was to resist the idea of throwing game rules to the wind and launching an armed rebellion of his own?]
balzams: (Thoughtful ● Daydreaming)

[personal profile] balzams 2013-11-19 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure, sure, of course we couldn't have done it without you.

Well, I mean more... I don't know. Managing to solve a crime that had everyone else stumped or something, normally I just leave the heavy thinking to Estonia...

I hope he's okay. If they didn't wipe his memory after they dragged him in I'm going to have to explain a lot of things.

... I wonder why I could remember him even then, I'd forgotten everyone else. Not just you guys in the game but people like Russia as well.
balzams: (Uneasy ● Confronted)

[personal profile] balzams 2013-11-19 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Wait, attacking her?

Are you saying that there was actually a plan to murder her?

[Poland that's important!]
notyetlost: (wait w-what?)

[personal profile] notyetlost 2013-11-19 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah but it was just Doris so it wasn't like a murder... murder...

She was just pitching the idea to Sonia and I and Sonia wussed out immediately but.

[Oh... maybe he should have mentioned this to someone... aside from just writing it down in his notebook in a language that only one other person still alive in the house can read...]

notyetlost: (I have a big mouth)

[personal profile] notyetlost 2013-11-19 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Baby steps Latvia. We can't all be as totally awesome as me.

Probably for the same reason they let me remember Italy. They let you have enough back that it'd motivate you to kill someone, but not enough that you'd think anything was weird.

Apparently the Mastermind killed one of Spain's citizens. That's why he felt so pressured to kill and get away with it, along with the nightmares he was having about his country being subjected to a plague.

[personal profile] souredsweet 2013-11-20 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
[that actually gets him to stop for a second, spoon just kind of hanging halfway between the cup and his mouth.]

...You know, the odd part about that is most of the people in this game do not even fall under that category.

[personal profile] souredsweet 2013-11-20 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
[he can pick up some of the slack, he already got latvia executed and all WHAT'S A LITTLE TEASING...]

Don't complain. Now you can watch instead of worrying. [a shrug, which is followed by a laugh.]

I had to learn a little about Christianity from Touko during that scavenger hunt. Even if it is not like the "hell" illustrated in those books, I would not say that it's far from accurate.
balzams: (Surprise ● Realization)

[personal profile] balzams 2013-11-20 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
[Poland!]

And I take it she had no plans to act on it herself...
balzams: (Uneasy ● Small)

[personal profile] balzams 2013-11-20 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
...Yes that's exactly what it is.

[Wow it's sad that he actually missed that kind of passive aggression with Poland]

Was that it...

[Even after everything... He had been so confused at first, especially after he got back his memories. Spain just wasn't that type of person but now Latvia couldn't help but feel a little sorry for him]

I hope he's okay too.

I don't think you necessarily have to be human to have a human quality.

Well... Maybe I shouldn't say human. Normally I just made the split between humans and animals but it turns out there are a lot more species like that than I thought.

Even the divide between humans and nations... We were created by humans so I suppose it's only natural that we end up resembling them.
souredsweet: jackandtink (summer air)

[personal profile] souredsweet 2013-11-20 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
[as someone who pretty much hated humans from the start, this kind of thinking is a little difficult for him to get behind.]

Perhaps it's less about a "human" quality and more about a shared quality... Something that most if not all of us possess.
notyetlost: (booooring)

[personal profile] notyetlost 2013-11-20 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
Well I mean-- I didn't want to...

So we dropped it and we each ended up doing our own thing...
notyetlost: (the reception here sucks)

[personal profile] notyetlost 2013-11-20 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
...

I dunno. I told Susan to lay off him, because it's not like I could blame him. I'd of done the same thing in his situation.

He seemed pretty bitter when I talked to him last. Especially you know, for Spain.

I hate watching! [Poland is a do-er!]

Ugh, oh my god you're right!
souredsweet: jackandtink (still water)

[personal profile] souredsweet 2013-11-20 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
These weeks are going to be very difficult for you to enjoy if you look at it like that.

[but hey at least everyone in the theater will still have Poland-based entertainment!]
notyetlost: (wait w-what?)

[personal profile] notyetlost 2013-11-20 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
Wow, like. Poor Doris.

[Poland did not see that coming.]
souredsweet: jackandtink (no)

[personal profile] souredsweet 2013-11-20 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
[oh... wow, neither did Kaoru. he actually looks vaguely miffed.]

I wonder if her death will even count...
notyetlost: (what the heck?)

[personal profile] notyetlost 2013-11-20 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
She's not a player... but. I mean. [Wow weird, Poland actually got kind of attached to their mutually understood manipulative relationship.

Poor Doris.]

Well either way, this means something's gonna happen. There's random guns showing up now.
souredsweet: jackandtink (summer air)

[personal profile] souredsweet 2013-11-20 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
[he actually feels somewhat benevolent towards her too...! after that chat with Kanaya, anyway.]

...Even we were limited to the same weapons as the other players, and that gun is nothing like a rifle or the weapon Gundam had. [his lips purse briefly.] Susan is likely correct.

I wonder how they'll keep the show going without a hostess though.
