He was just sitting on one of the chairs. But it looked like he got stabbed a lot. [She gestures to her chest as a sign of where he was stabbed.]

( The first thing he thinks of is that the blade had to have been short. A long would have been awkward to stab with repeatedly, wouldn't it? Unless there was something more complicated at play. )
