Yeah, sure. Just tell me the results, alright?

[She really thinks she should guard the kitchen with the nice young man who also doesn't want to see the body, but Glinda's voice abandons her about this time and she trails off into vague murmurings.
Well someone has to be in charge, anyway, and she'll go along limply if Pekoyama attempts to steer her upstairs.]

[Pekoyama will definitely insist on her going upstairs. In front of her, too, since she does still have that knife.
Once upstairs at the body, she attempts to avoid stepping in the blood as much as possible. It's about half an hour after the discovery, so some of it should be dry enough to walk on without her getting it all over her shoes. She wants to look at the wounds themselves, holding out a hand back to Glinda.]
Your knife, please.
1/2
I-I... It's really...
[Give her about a half second while she suddenly slumps backwards to the floor.]
2/2
Bizarrely, about 3 seconds later, she springs up again with wild eyes.]
No I'm awake don't kill me no one touch me!
[...OK well then another 2 seconds before she comes back to her senses.]
...Oh.
Er.
Yes. The knife.
[Have the knife, Pekoyama.]

Pekoyama looks so incredibly done with this entire situation, but she isn't even going to comment on that immediately.]
Thank you.
[She's just going to compare the knife to the wounds on the body. Any similarities?]

Is it...?
no subject
It is difficult to say, as I am uncertain how many knifes are missing from the kitchen. I would like to keep this for now.
[She crosses her arms, resting the blade of the knife over her bicep.]
Do you know if anyone else chose to take a knife?
no subject
No, but...
It's a first instinct for self-defense, isn't it?
[Or was she the only one so paranoid.]
I... just wanted to feel safe since my magic's all gone without my wand. And that dagger didn't seem very... useful.
no subject
[Just... pointing that out. Continuing her record of being absolutely nice to everyone. There's a moment of hesitation, though, and she nods.]
But you are not incorrect. It is unlikely that a second murder will be committed this week, as per the rules of the game, so you should be safe enough without this knife until after the trial. If you are innocent.
Should we both survive the trial, I will return this knife to you, for your protection. And attempt to discern if anyone else thought as you did.

[Says someone who has no idea how weaponry works.]
Just to give me enough time to scream very loudly and slash his hand open, maybe.
[She averts her eyes purposefully from the body now.]
...Who would have done something so awful?
I suppose... somebody whose memory was... more important than a life.
[And before they knew of the prize they were playing for... surely some people had shared their missing memories with others. Glinda herself knew of two.]

[Peko...yama most people don't have training with weapons. Most people are not yakuza.]
You should not use a weapon if you are not trained in its usage. You may not have intended to harm anyone, but then, you may kill someone by even by mistake. Errors of that sort are costly here.
[Pekoyama shrugs the case off her bag and opens the top flap of the bag, carefully sliding the knife in there hilt-first so it won't tear the cloth. And so she can try to hurl it at someone with the case later if need be. Innovative!]
Do not underestimate what others are capable of. Something that may not be important to you may be the most precious thing to another.
